Hours:
The Dresden Library is open throughout the school day. Students may come to the library any time, (including recess and lunch) provided they have a pass from their teacher. The library is also open before school, beginning at 8:00am as well as after school until 3:30pm. When students come to the library without a teacher, they must sign in. This helps Mrs. Detherage keep track of how and when the library is being used.
Loans:
Typically, students may check out up to two items at a time. However, if you need more, just talk to Mrs. Detherage. Books may be checked out for 2 weeks. And magazines are checked out for one night only. Any of these materials can be renewed as long as no one else is waiting for them.
Note: Mrs. Detherage will NEVER keep a student from reading because they owe a fine. If your book is overdue, but you need something to read, come see Mrs. Detherage ASAP. Also, if you owe a fine or have lost a book but can't pay for it, come see Mrs. Detherage or talk to your teacher - together, we'll work something out so that you can use the library again.
